Nicolaas Vlok CEO en oprichter Vision Solutions
Nicolaas Vlok's entrepreneurial career began at age 14 when he started selling computer hardware part-time. At the age of 21, while studying engineering at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, he and two partners launched TST, a computer hardware and network integration company. TST thrived off Vlok's unique mix of business acumen and technical skills. His knowledge and passion for business and technology were the building blocks of his visionary thinking. In 1998, Vlok rebranded the business IDION and took it public on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The Financial Mail rated IDION as the best technology IPO of 1998 on the JSE. At age 25, Vlok was the youngest CEO of a public company in South Africa.
As IDION continued to grow, Vlok focused on turning the company into an international software developer that would meet the growing need for information availability through world-class software and services. Following four strategic acquisitions, Vlok guided IDION into the international arena, a strategy that culminated in the acquisition of U.S.-based Vision Solutions and the divestiture of its other businesses.

Under Vlok's leadership, Vision Solutions was named a Deloitte Fast 50 Technology company and was also named as a finalist in the Software Company of the Year Awards by the Software Council. Vlok was also a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Awards and Software Council - Software CEO of the year.
In October 2006, Thoma Cressey Bravo (TCB), in partnership with Management, acquired Vision Solutions from IDION. Vlok continues to lead Vision Solutions and the business has grown significantly through both organic growth and its merger with iTera in late 2006 and the acquisition of Lakeview Technology in 2007.

Frank Versteegh, Piloot unlimited aerobatics klasse
Frank Versteegh begon zijn vliegcarrière meer dan 30 jaar geleden in behoort tot de top vijf demonstratiepiloten van de wereld. Risicobeheersing en veiligheidssystemen in combinatie met zijn zoektocht naar perfectie hebben hem 30 jaar wedstrijd en airshow vliegen laten 'overleven'. Hij is een gepassioneerd levenskunstenaar, ondernemer met een enorme aversie tegen bureaucratische 'instanties'.
Frank is jaren kampioen geweest in de hoogste categorie aerobatics, unlimited. Hij is de eerste Nederlandse deelnemer geweest op Wereld- en Europese kampioenschappen (1982-1994). Voor de val van de Berlijnse muur heeft hij 2 jaar deel uitgemaakt van het Tsjechische aerobatic team. Frank heeft instructie gegeven aan de Duitse school voor testpiloten. Hij vloog meer dan 1200 demonstratievluchten op nagenoeg alle grote luchtvaart evenementen op aarde.
Hij heeft meer dan 150 vliegtuig typen gevlogen en heeft de aantekeningen helikopter, watervliegtuigen en meermotorig vliegtuigen in zijn brevet. Hij is Coach, Wedstrijdleider, FAI Judge, en nog steeds actief als freestyle wedstrijd en airshow vlieger.
Persoonlijke verantwoordelijkheid, leiderschap, en het stellen van grenzen zijn de rode draad door zijn verhalen. Is er een probleem? Of is het juist een uitdaging?
De vertaling van het Griekse woord CRISIS is KANS. Soms is 100% niet genoeg. Het streven naar kwaliteit, op welk gebied dan ook. De wereld van de professionele lucht- en ruimtevaart is een voorbeeld voor alle andere bedrijfstakken.

Gerben Meeuwes, Power Platform Sales Manager IBM BeNeLux
Gerben Meeuwes started at IBM in 2001 as sales specialist System i. He performed this role for 5 years in different territories and got well acquainted with the complex marketplace. As System sales in 2006 he was the contact for the portfolio of all IBM hardware in SMB and sector accounts. In 2007 he was asked back in the System i brand as sales manager System i for IBM BeNeLux.
In 2008 the Power platform was introduced and he was asked to lead the merge between the i & P brand to Power as platform leader. His current job since January 2009 is Power Platform Sales Manager BeNeLux.
His key skills are sales with a lot of face to face customer experience as Power Certified Sales Specialist (AIX / Linux and i). As speaker he is able to talk about strategic topics concerning the complete IBM portfolio and putting them in context with today’s business issues.

Rene Veltman, Product Manager Power Systems IBM Nederland
Sinds 1977 in dienst bij IBM. Begonnen als JCL programmeur en daarna als systeem analist op het mainframe. In 1982 aangevuld met de specialisatie Automated Operations (automated operators op de eerste PC's) en daarna als consultant automation projects op het mainframe. Daarna werkzaam als project manager bij IBM Network Services. Vanaf 1990 consultant Intel servers, complexe netwerken en systems management. Vanaf 1998 Product Manager IntelliStation werkstations en vanaf 2001 Product Manager IBM p Series. In 2007 is daar de ambassadeursfunctie voor het Linux Platform bij gekomen.
In zijn vrije tijd mag Rene graag door zijn telescoop de hemel afspeuren naar sterrenstelsels en planeten. Mocht het weer dit niet toelaten dan is een lekkere Italiaanse maaltijd met een mooie Italiaanse wijn een prima alternatief.

Bert de Groot, Algemeen Directeur BP Solutions
Drs.ing. E.H. de Groot, geboren 1948, studeerde Informatie Technologie en Economie in Amsterdam.
Bert de Groot is sinds 2008 eigenaar/directeur van BPSolutions. Daarvoor was hij bestuursvoorzitter van Delft Instruments N.V. Eerdere directiefuncties vervulde hij bij Getronics, Buhrmann Tetterode en Digital Equipment Corporation.

Anjo van der Spek, ICT Manager De Mandemakers Groep
Kwam in 1999 in aanraking met de ICT doordat hij als Projectleider een SAP/R3 implementatie mocht leiden. Sindsdien heeft hij de ICT niet meer verlaten. Via de overname van Brugman Keukens & Badkamers is hij in 2001 bij De Mandemakers Groep (DMG) als ICT-Manager gekomen.
Bij de Mandemakers Groep is hij verantwoordelijk voor het ICT-beleid van de onderneming. DMG is een detaillist in Keukens, Meubelen en Sanitair met ruim 200 winkels in Nederland, circa 4.500 medewerkers en een omzet (2008) van ongeveer 1 miljard euro per jaar. Bij DMG wordt ICT strategisch ingezet en DMG heeft als detaillist onder andere de winkelautomatisering, een eigen (maatwerk) ERP-systeem, de logistieke- en magazijnautomatisering en haar e-commerce activiteiten in eigen beheer. Zijn sleutelvaardigheden liggen op het snijvlak tussen business, organisatie en techniek.
In zijn vrije tijd mag hij graag bezig zijn met Engelse- en Italiaanse sportauto’s uit de jaren ’60 en ’70 en klussen in huis en tuin.

Martin Jurgens, Innovation Staff Member IBM Nederland
Martin Jurgens werkt sinds lange tijd bij IBM waar hij verschillende rollen heeft bekleed.Na een aantal verantwoordelijkheden in de binnendienst en een negental jaren als sales representative maakte hij de overstap naar de rol van product manager van het AS/400 platform. In die rol groeide zijn bekendheid als woordvoerder, niet alleen rond hard- en software, maar ook breder rond IBM’s strategieën en innovatie.Vanuit zijn rol in IBM’s innovatieteam is hij bijna twee jaar werkzaam geweest bij het projectbureau Innovatieplatform, voorgezeten door de Minister President, Jan Peter Balkenende.
Thans bekleedt Martin een dubbelrol: enerzijds houdt hij zich bezig houdt met contacten van en naar de Nederlandse overheid en daarnaast is hij binnen het IBM Innovatieteam verantwoordelijk voor Sociale Innovatie.

Rox van der Hoeven, Consultant PST Business Solutions
Rox van der Hoeven, HA specialist PST Business Solutions
Sinds 10 jaar in dienst bij PST Business Solutions. Begonnen als programmeur, maar later geïnspireerd door A. de Wilde geïnteresseerd geraakt in HA oplossingen.
Bij PST Business Solutions is zij verantwoordelijk voor bijna alle Orion & iTera installaties. Ook heeft zij bijgedragen aan de ontwikkeling van de Orion en iTera agent. Als gevolg van de door HA ontwikkelde expertise hoort ook systeembeheer en configuratie inmiddels bij de dagelijkse taken.
Implementeren van HA oplossingen vraagt om een flexibele houding qua werkuren. Regelmatig is Rox in de avonden, nachten en weekeinden aan het werk om fail overs te testen, dan wel te begeleiden.
In haar vrije tijd is zij te vinden op softbal velden over de hele wereld, wandelend door de bergen, in de keuken of met haar neus in een goed boek.

Craig Poole, Solutions Architect Vision Solutions
Craig Poole’s technical career began at the age of 15 studying at College in Information Technology. At the age of 17 in 1991 he was officially introduced to I.T. technically supporting UNIX System V and HP-UX platforms for distribution businesses and moved on to support and lead AIX UNIX teams in Energy, manufacturing and retail companies. In 1996 he spent 2 years developing AIX Recovery methodologies and practices for Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity companies for which are still in place today.
Shortly afterwards he decided to become an independent AIX consultant to offer freelance services to the industry and service companies. Craig has held many roles since ranging from UNIX Systems Administration within Support and Operational areas through to specific consultancy/architecture roles within UNIX infrastructures and/or product specific roles within projects.
In1998 he became the Technical Director of Keystone Computer group, and built from the ground up a specialist HA and DR services provider which went on to become an IBM Accredited partner. During his time at Keystone, he successfully implemented small to large scale AIX and Storage Infrastructures across multiple industries predominantly in the financial and government sectors working closely with IBM, hardware resellers and other service providers in a number of roles from technical and management to pre and post sales. He provided both technical advice and consultancy services to companies such as Deutsche Bank, Bloomberg, Fidelity Investments, Barclays, HBOS Bank, British Airways and many more. Over the next 10 years, Craig continued to work as an independent consultant for IBM (UK and France) and many IBM Premier Partners in the UK specializing in technical consultancy in IBM’s AIX, HACMP, POWER4, 5 and 6 Hardware, virtualization and Storage.
In 2009, he joined Vision Solutions as the AIX Solutions Architect for EMEA to help make a success of Visions High Availability product set for AIX fully focused on Visions Continuous Data Protection Product, EchoStream and Visions Highly Available Product, EchoCluster.
Craig is an IBM accredited technical member of the AIX community and continues to be heavily involved in the design and technical implementations of AIX Infrastructures specializing in High Availability on IBM Power Systems and IBM Storage. He has achieved 17 years of AIX expertise and has succeeded in all aspects of service delivery.
